Our Auckland Flounder Fishing Tours are designed with the independent traveller in mind, who wants to really try something different that is quite unique. When Flounder Fishing in Auckland, we walk around the shallow waters of certain estuaries (our secret locations) after dark, using torches to locate the Flounder. We consider this method to be the most fun! We then spear the flounder to catch these delicious eating fish.
| During daylight we also use a drag-net to catch them and we can also use light-tackle fishing rods to catch Flounder using various baits to make them take a hook.
“Floundering” is best done in combination with our Kite Fishing Adventure or from a kayak during our Kayak Fishing Tours. Why not, since it's double the fun!
Best of all, you'll be able to keep what you catch, as long as it's within legal limits!
